At DTF Transfers Era ("DTFera," "we," "our," or "us"), high-quality prints begin with high-quality artwork. Following these file requirements helps ensure the best possible print results, minimizes production delays, and reduces the likelihood of unexpected print issues.
Customers are responsible for submitting print-ready artwork that meets these requirements. Files that do not meet these guidelines may print with reduced quality or require additional production time.
1. Preferred File Formats
For the best print quality, we recommend submitting artwork in one of the following formats:
PNG files with transparent backgrounds are recommended for most DTF transfer orders.
2. Image Resolution
Artwork should be created or exported at a minimum of 300 DPI at the final print size.
Low-resolution artwork may appear blurry, pixelated, or lack fine detail when printed.
Increasing the size of a low-resolution image does not improve its quality.
3. Transparent Backgrounds
Artwork should be submitted with a transparent background whenever possible.
White, colored, or checkerboard backgrounds that are unintentionally included in artwork may print as part of the finished transfer.
Customers are responsible for verifying that transparent backgrounds are present before submitting artwork.
4. Artwork Size
Artwork should be designed at or near the final print size whenever possible.
Submitting artwork that is significantly smaller than the intended print size may reduce image quality when enlarged.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that artwork dimensions are appropriate for their intended application.
5. Print-Ready Files
Artwork should be fully prepared for printing before submission.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, DTF Transfers Era prints artwork exactly as submitted and does not automatically edit, redesign, resize, remove backgrounds, or correct customer files before production.
6. Colors & Color Profiles
Artwork should be created using high-quality color settings whenever possible. While RGB artwork is commonly accepted and often produces excellent results, printed colors may vary slightly from what is displayed on computer monitors, mobile devices, or tablets.
Differences in screens, printers, inks, fabrics, lighting conditions, and the heat application process may affect the final appearance of printed colors.
Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.
7. Fonts & Text
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all text, spelling, grammar, and font choices are correct before submitting artwork.
Whenever possible, fonts should be converted to outlines or included with editable design files to help prevent font substitution issues.
DTF Transfers Era is not responsible for spelling mistakes, missing fonts, or text errors contained within customer-submitted artwork.
8. Thin Lines & Small Details
Extremely thin lines, very small text, intricate details, and fine design elements may not reproduce exactly as displayed on screen.
Customers should ensure that artwork is designed with printable line thicknesses and readable text sizes appropriate for the intended print dimensions.
9. Gang Sheets
Customers creating gang sheets are responsible for verifying the placement, spacing, sizing, orientation, and quantity of every design before submitting their files.
DTF Transfers Era prints gang sheets exactly as submitted and does not rearrange, reposition, resize, duplicate, or remove artwork unless specifically requested before production.
10. File Review
While we may identify obvious artwork concerns before production, DTF Transfers Era does not perform a comprehensive inspection of every submitted file.
Customers remain responsible for reviewing all submitted artwork before completing their order.
Production may proceed using the files exactly as submitted.
11. File Storage
DTF Transfers Era does not guarantee long-term storage of customer artwork, gang sheets, or print-ready files.
Customers are responsible for maintaining backup copies of all submitted artwork. While we may temporarily retain files for production purposes, future orders may require artwork to be uploaded again.
DTF Transfers Era reserves the right to remove customer files from our systems at any time without prior notice.
12. File Modifications
Unless specifically requested and agreed to in writing, DTF Transfers Era does not redesign, recreate, vectorize, remove backgrounds, correct spelling, resize artwork, or otherwise modify customer-submitted files.
If file modification services are requested and accepted, additional charges, production time, and customer approval may be required before production begins.
13. Customer Responsibility
By submitting artwork to DTF Transfers Era, customers acknowledge that they have carefully reviewed their files before completing their order.
Customers are responsible for verifying:
Files will generally be printed exactly as submitted unless otherwise agreed in writing.
14. Policy Updates
DTF Transfers Era reserves the right to update or modify these File Requirements at any time without prior notice.
Any changes become effective immediately upon being published on DTFera.com. Continued use of our website or services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised File Requirements.
