Some custom apparel projects have a clear beginning and end. You may need shirts for an event, promotional project, staff group, organization, limited merchandise run, or another short-term need without wanting boxes of extra finished apparel afterward.
DTFera provides ready-to-press DTF transfers for customers in Hershey and Derry Township, Pennsylvania, with no minimum order requirement. That gives you more control over how much you produce and makes it easier to order additional transfers if the project grows.
It can be difficult to predict exactly how many finished shirts a temporary project will need.
Ordering transfers separately from the garments gives you another option. You can prepare the apparel you need now while keeping compatible blank garments available if additional shirts are needed later.
This can be especially useful when quantities may change close to the project date or when you simply do not want to overproduce finished apparel that may never be used.
A temporary project may use different artwork than your normal business, organization, or staff apparel.
Keep those files organized separately. Your regular logo might stay the same for years, while a promotional or event graphic may only be needed for one project.
Separating the artwork makes future ordering easier and reduces the chance of accidentally submitting an outdated or wrong version of a design.
A short-run project may need more than one graphic. You could have a main design, a smaller logo, different placements, or several pieces of artwork for different garments.
The DTF Gang Sheet Builder uses a 22-inch-wide print area and can be useful when several transfer sizes or graphics need to be arranged together.
Instead of ordering every graphic as a completely separate project, you can plan the available sheet space around the artwork you actually need.
If your project only uses one straightforward design, keep the ordering process simple.
DTF Transfers by Size lets you choose an available individual transfer size, upload one design, and select the quantity you need.
If you already created the complete gang sheet layout yourself, use the Print-Ready Gang Sheet Upload instead.
A successful project does not mean you needed to produce every possible shirt size in advance.
Keeping the approved artwork and print dimensions gives you the option to order more transfers later. You can respond to actual demand instead of trying to guess future quantities.
This approach can also make it easier to repeat a successful design for another project while changing the garment colors, sizes, or quantities as needed.
A design being used for a short-term project does not make file quality less important.
For standard raster artwork, a high-resolution PNG with transparency where appropriate is generally preferred. Aim for approximately 300 DPI at the final intended print size.
Check small lettering, edges, unwanted background pixels, and image clarity before uploading. Simply changing a blurry image to 300 DPI does not recreate detail that was missing from the original.

DTF transfers are commonly used on cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends, and many other compatible materials.
Nylon, coated fabrics, dye-sublimated garments, heat-sensitive performance apparel, and unfamiliar specialty materials may require testing or different pressing conditions.
If your project includes more than one type of garment, test unfamiliar materials before pressing the entire quantity.
