What Are UV DTF Transfers?

UV DTF, or UV direct-to-film, is a transfer process designed for decorating compatible hard surfaces. The artwork is printed with UV-cured ink onto a specialized film and transferred to the item using adhesive rather than heat.

Unlike regular garment DTF transfers, UV DTF does not require a heat press. After preparing the surface, you position the transfer, press it firmly into place, and remove the carrier film. How to Apply UV DTF Transfers

Follow these basic steps and always test an unfamiliar product or coating before completing a large batch.

Clean the Surface

Remove dirt, dust, oil, and residue. Use isopropyl alcohol when appropriate and allow the surface to dry completely.

Prepare the Transfer

Rub or squeegee the transfer before peeling so the artwork is firmly attached to the carrier film.

Position and Apply

Align the design carefully. Apply it gradually and press from the center outward to reduce trapped air.

Press and Peel

Rub firmly across the entire design, then remove the carrier film slowly at a low angle while checking adhesion.
